Mei is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the College of St. Scholastica (Duluth, MN). She received her Ph.D. from North Dakota State University (Fargo, ND) and completed her postdoctoral training at Brown University (Providence, RI). When not teaching or researching, she is likely reading, running, or planning her next adventure.
Abby is a junior pursuing a major in Psychology and minors in Political Science and Global, Cultural, and Language Studies. She is interested in entering the field of Criminal or Forensic Psychology and enjoys studying different cognitive functions such as decision making and emotional recognition. In her free time, Abby enjoys playing with her dog, Benson, reading, kayaking, and spending time with friends and family.
Daya is a senior majoring in Biology and Psychology as a pre-Med student. Her research interests include the effects of exercise and music. She enjoys hiking, traveling, being a member of the Track & Field team, and playing the flute.
Ellie is a junior undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Psychology. She is interested in understanding human behavior and thought processes. Her hobbies include figure skating, crocheting, and spending time with friends and family.
Sydney is a senior pursuing an undergraduate degree in Psychology. She is interested in forensic psychology, including eyewitness testimonies and false memory, the relation between traumatic brain injuries and violence, and psychopathy. Her hobbies include traveling, spending time on the lake, and hanging out with friends and family.
Former Lab Members
Conrad graduated in December, 2019. He majored in Psychology and minored in Biology. He is interested in the neural mechanisms of executive function and emotion regulation. During his free time, Conrad enjoys pondering on human nature, trekking in the backcountry, adventuring in recondite countries, and spending time with family.
Rosa graduated in May, 2020. Rosa majored in Psychology and Spanish. She is interested in understanding the biological processes that underlie human cognition, such as selective attention and emotional regulation. During her free time, Rosa enjoys skiing, traveling and spending time with her friends and family.
Claudina graduated in May, 2021. She majored in Psychology and Sustainability Studies. She is interested in integrating psychology and sustainability to promote pro-environmental behavior. Her favorite hobbies include dancing and going on nature adventures.
Mallory graduated in May, 2021. Her research interests include reasoning, problem solving, and cognitive training. In her free time, Mallory enjoys hanging out with friends, being at the lake, and playing with her dog, Bailey.
